Part of the Tulikivi Group, Nordic Talc Oy aims to convert the Suomussalmi soapstone factory into a talc plant and ensure the industrial utilization of talc reserves and the continuation of operations. To realize this goal, the company is preparing a modern talc concentrate plant to utilize Europe’s largest and most compact talc deposit.

Comprised of the listed family business Tulikivi Oyj and its subsidiaries, Tulikivi Group is the world’s largest manufacturer of heat-retaining fireplaces. The Tulikivi range includes three product lines: Fireplaces, Sauna and Interior. The values of Tulikivi and its customers include well-being, interior aesthetics and the benefits of bioenergy. Tulikivi’s annual turnover is ca. 45 M€, with export accounting for over 50%. Tulikivi currently employs about 200 people.
